I ate at Glow this past Easter with my family and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The staff was wonderful, very polite, kind, and they knew the menu inside and out. Our particular waiter was also the restaurant sommelier, and was able to offer us some really great wine pairings with our food. We had the tasting menu, but instead of trying all of the wine pairings we decided to select two or three wines that would go with multiple dishes. He was able to tell us all about the vineyards they came from, the people that ran them, and why he chose them, which was really interesting to hear. An unbelievable experience overall. The space was modern and sleek but still felt warm and comfortable. Our server was incredibly knowledgable about every item on the menu, and as he was also the sommelier, he knew a deep history of all the wines. His recommendations paired very well for each course. Each course was a unique experience unlike any other dish I had ever eaten, but all delicious. The flavor of the young leek soup with morel tortellini and port wine was out of this world. For a main course, I took the saddle of lamb and it was without a doubt the best lamb I had ever had, so tender and flavorful and the peas were so fresh and sweet. Nun wir mussten uns nicht anstrengen, einen Grund zu suchen. Wir konnten uns aufgrund einer Absage einer grösseren Gruppe einen Tisch ergattern. Gut war: Jeder einzelne Gang. Haute Cuisine mit dem Ursprungsprodukt auf der Bühne. Ein aufmerksamer Service, eine gute Weinempfehlung (in Folge leichter Abänderungen des Menus wurde uns z.B. die Weinbegleitung nicht empfohlen. Wir waren dann ganz zufrieden mit einem Bündner Pinot Noir (ein heikles Thema, aber hier ausserordentlich gelungen!) Am Schluss ein Schwatz mit Herrn Amrein über die Ennentbürger Zutaten. Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.
Wir waren gespannt auf die neuen Lokalitäten und durften uns in wunderschönem Ambiente einmal mehr von Armin Amrein und seinem Team in höchster Perfektion verwöhnen lassen.Auserlesene Weine und das Essen waren ein Hochgenuss für die Sinne. Jeder Gang einzigartig, kreativ und harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt, wurde gleichsam zelebriert.Das Glow - ein kulinarisches Erlebnis der besonderen Art und eine Wohlfühloase für einige Stunden. We went for 7 course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The highlights of the menu for me were duck liver and Angus beef. Incredible taste! It certainly quite expensive, but it is so worth it. Amin came out of the kitchen and said hello to every table in the restaurant, which was a very nice touch. Great experience.
The food is more than excellent. The presentation of the food is surprising and the tastes r unexpected. The service is impeccable. Everything is done with an aristocratic delicacy and calmness. NOT enough words to describe this unique experience !! Don't miss it !!
