Absolutely love eating here when I'm in Pasadena. Lunch specialities are always a great value and a La Cart portions are generous. It is not only your average run of the mill Chinese restaurant. The outside could look old, but it is very clean and pleasant inside, with ample parking on the back. You have a few dishes that I do not even find in other neighborhood Chinese restaurants, such as salted fish or crabs (real crabs) roasted rice. My favorite dish here must be the aromatic fish.
My husband and I love this place, our visit when we're looking for Chinese food. The host, Tommy, is always friendly, remembers us with name and treats us like his family. It is thoughtful, thoughtful and reminiscent of my food intolerances. The food comes hot and fresh and delicious. We always order the walnut shrimp, the best we have tried in the area. Always consistent in quality. My husband loves the hurdle soup! atmosphere is beautiful, looks and smells clean inside:
New to the area and read reviews about Go China! We Tried the hot and sour soup, short ribs, string beans with beef and Kung Pao combo. All dishes were piping hot and delicious! My fav was the string beans with beef. I had multiple cups of the hot tea and enjoyed myself. Great ambiance with holiday music playing lightly in the background. Helpful and friendly service. Parking was convenient and close by. We will be back! :
Their prices have increased substantially as they have in so many other businesses but today I had their shrimp in garlic sauce and was surprised by how delicious the dish was. The sauce was spicy but not excessively so. The shrimp were fresh and well prepared. The green beans were crispy but not raw nor overcooked. The egg flower soup was also delicious as was the vegetable egg roll. Book a table now
Wow! My wife and I love this place. Great atmosphere and service. Eating is always well prepared and it is hot what is great. Very on food restrictions and sensitivity. Nice lunch. I could write more, but you just have to try yourself.
Had many times at Go China Pasadena CA and servers Tommy and Giovanni next to the chefs had provided excellent food and services. Thank you for the wonderful services and delicious meals every time.
Always a must when in Pasadena. The food is hearty, large portions, and comes highly recommended by first generation americans. The order is timely and tasty.
This is our go-to spot when we crave Chinese food..and fast. Their orange chicken is usually spot on and their lo-mein is flavorful..BUT..I dislike the Book a table now
