I had the WORST service here! Or should I say NO service at all! We found this place in Yelp. The pictures of food and place looked very inviting but unfortunately our whole experience was far beyond HORRIBLE. I dont want to be biased but Ive been living in Germany for 1.5 years now, and I've been to many places in Europe. I've visited 15 countries and found that Germany has the worst customer service, and this place is a perfect example of it. Based on yhe reviews here i visited this place while in gorlitz. The atmosphere is very friendly and the menu interesting. Prices are not to high and overal taste is decent but not exceptional Would not go back unles with some friends Update 2013 Had forgotten about my previous review. Still like the atmosphere and food is still just average. Also noted that the staff if friendly but not that accurate
We chose this restaurant as we liked the look of the food on the plates and the aroma of freshly made kartoffel/fleisch.We ordered one of the classic offerings plus the kangeroo steak. Both were good and hearty. Loved the very generous mixed salad. Be hungry...when you go. Service was friendly and I thought the price reasonable. Appreciated the server being patient with my slow German language!
Food here is not bad, but somehow I find it also not great. The atmosphere is nice though with lot of wood. The food is potato based and the Potato soup is not to bad. Take a small one with sausage or big (lot more soup) without as in that case it is just 2 whole knacks in soup Steak was ok, could have used some seasoning but I would recommend the brat kartoffel with onion and bacon.
