A few days of Christmas was wearing thin so we decided to order a meal for delivery. This place is usually very good. Our order was placed and repeated for confirmation. After delivery and paying, we realised two items had been left off. We telephoned them and were told that if we wanted the missing items we would have to pay a further £7.20. Not for the food but for delivery. When I argued the phone was put down on me.A good meal spoilt by awful customer service. On the plus side, they will never have to worry about giving me poor service again as I shall not give them any further business.
After reading a review on here I decided to try a take away from Gold lion as it said amazing food.....I could honestly say, it must have been a family member that wrote that review cos I think I've just eating someone's cat....I got a special chow mein and a chicken curry but did not like any of the meat in it much at all....and I am a proper meaty!!Would I go back.......most definitely NOT!! Had some amazing Chinese meals in my time but unfortunately this was not one of them sorry.....
My family and I have been using this Chinese takeaway for years, and have always been impressed. They have never disappointed and the food is consistent and always up to 5 star standards! The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and I would recommend this takeaway to anyone and everyone! A credit to Hockley!
Although local find the food lacking flavour and sometimes the ribs are overcooked. Some of the dishes are ok but on whole very lacking, we have had some good dishes but some of the choices are disappointing.

I ordered food and everything was fantastic! The service was prompt and friendly. I asked for no peas in my rice but they forgot, but the meal was still delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We’ve been ordering our takeaways from here for the last few years, we have always found them to be polite and prompt and the food is absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend.
Food is very nice, only problem has been they keep overcharging. This has happened three times so far this year and for that reason only, I will not use them anymore. Ashame.
Love this takeaway. Food is always excellent. Obviously they can be very busy at times re delivery, but it’s worth the wait or there is always the option of collection.
