I had an enjoyable experience at the restaurant I visited two weeks ago. I had a few dollars to spend and some gas in the tank, so I decided to drive an hour to grab a bite to eat. Although it required some waiting, the great service and wonderful food made it worthwhile. I ordered Coneys, and they brought back memories of my time 35 years ago in Cincinnati, where I used to go to a place called Gold Star Chili in Delhi. The way they serve the Coneys reminded me of those days.
The service was quick and welcoming. The food was served hot and fresh, just as it should be. However, I found it to be pricey for what you receive. A plate of spaghetti topped with a small amount of chili, a heap of cheese, and some tiny hot dogs doesn't quite justify the cost. Those mini hot dogs really shouldn’t be on their own! The food is great, and the waitress was friendly. We visit this restaurant often, so we recognized that she was new. Our only complaint is that since she was the only waitress working, our food took a while to arrive and wasn't hot when it did.
No Chili ? Stopped by to have a nice bowl of chili and all they had was Spaghetti. They put a chili sauce on top of the spaghetti that was the same as used on hot dogs. Not for me. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
