I must say, this experience was quite disappointing. I've visited Goldberg's several times before, and while the service was never exceptional, today's experience was unacceptable. I took my mom, who was in town for a quick meal, and we stood at the counter for a good five minutes without anyone taking our order, despite there being no line. Employees made eye contact with us several times, yet not one person acknowledged our presence or offered to help. When you charge as much as this place does for a bacon and egg you could at least use real bacon the owners of this place are such losers they use microwave bacon and it's gross such ashame you have a flat top grill 4peope working and your using microwave bacon GROSS on top of which about a week ago I'm in there owner and wife come in the female part of the ownership starts touching everything without washing her hands I even asked the counter girl who she was and why is she not following safety protoby washing hands ect before touching the food place is GROSS
I was quite disappointed with the food I received today. I ordered a French toast bagel with cream cheese, but instead got a flat, plain bagel that was hard and nearly burnt. I also ordered a SOBO sandwich with special sauce and mayo, but it turned out very dry and lacked the sauces I requested. I usually come here for breakfast sandwiches, but this experience was really disappointing. Hopefully, things will be better next time.
While the bagels may be arguably the best in the area (flavor wise, they tend to be cheap with the ingredients), for all the years in business the place is always so unorganized. This is now the third time that we have gotten home with the wrong item. I ordered a hobo on an everything bagel and ended up home with a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a roll, after waiting 20 minutes. Every time I go, I remember why I should stop.

Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is impressive, especially when served on their French toast bagels. It’s a bit more expensive than average (but isn’t everything these days?). However, it’s absolutely worth it for those mornings when you want to indulge a little.
I visited for the first time and ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a bagel. It was really delicious—fresh and flavorful. The coffee was excellent as well! As a coffee drinker, I've tried many places, but Goldberg's coffee truly stands out.
I ordered a corn muffin for my granddaughter, who was really wanting one for breakfast. It was absolutely perfect! The muffin was individually wrapped and incredibly fresh.
My husband and I would like to commend Fernando at your Emerson, NJ location. The food is outstanding, and Fernando is personable, professional, and very knowledgeable.
