What a great extension of their San Francisco North Beach location! I grew up eating Golden Boy, walking past their Green Street store front and seeing their pizza displayed in the window--but I digress.This is a wholesale only business and there is no dine-in option. You cannot buy by the slice and must order by the half sheet (4 giant slices). The square pieces are focaccia with toppings, also known as Sicilian style, pan pizza, maybe even consider it Detroit style. Call it what you want, it 's just plain and simply delicious. Your best bet is to call in your order and pick it up...it will take a longer to order at the counter and wait for your order. There is no parking lot--street parkin...
This has become my favorite pizza place.After lengthy deliberations of what to grsbbfor dinner for a group of 7, we made the trek to pick up two large combo and clam and garlic pizzas. We were bummed outnto realize it is best to call ahead, otherwisenit'll be a 45 min long wait. Anywho, we eventually got the pizza to serve the large party and mmmmmmm... the pizza cannot fail you. Clam and garlicnis by far my favorite, pesto is delicious as well although too much olives sometimes... and the combo is pretty good. I had been craving this place for weeks so I am happy to have finally had it again
The crust is crispy, fluffy and oh so delicious! We ordered a large cheese and a large combo. Sauce is perfectly seasoned and just the right amount. Not over powering yet enough to balance the cheese to crust ratio. Service is fantastic! I called 15mins before they opened because I was starving and hadn't had lunch. Didn't feel up to making dinner so this was a quick dinner idea. I was expecting someone to answer but I was hopeful. To my delight a courteous man answered and took my order. He also said they could have my pizzas ready fairly quickly. 5 stars all the way!
I ordered the clam pizza here and I think I will compare every clam pizza that I eat to this one. If you're a garlic fan, this is the pizza for you. I ordered a small pizza and it's enough to feed 2 people. Remember to call ahead so you don't have to wait there. I placed a phone order and they told me to come by in 30 minutes. The pizza was ready once I got there, and I was in and out of there within 3 minutes. There is no Apple Pay so make sure to bring a physical credit card.No parking lot but plenty of street parking around.
