Always get our Chinese food from here and the meals don't disappoint, but last night the Prawn Crackers were stale, burnt on the edges and most inedible, come on Golden Bridge up your game on this little issue as it takes the edge off a really nice Special curry! Overall wont stop us going, getting through is a challenge but shows how popular it is. Covid signs in place and girls masked up and behind a glass screen and only 2 allowed in shop to collect at any one time, unless your a Nuneaton covidiot who ignores this, only happens occasionally thankfully..
We placed our order at 6:20pm and were told there would be a wait of an hour and 20 minutes. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:35pm to inform them we were there, but there were approximately 10 to 15 people ahead of us also waiting. We waited outside in the rain until 8:05pm before deciding to leave. Despite the long wait, the restaurant was still accepting telephone orders and more people were arriving. It was quite chaotic, especially considering it was a Saturday. It's a shame because we really enjoy the food from this place.
We pass by many Chinese restaurants to get to the Golden Bridge, but it's worth the trip. The food is always piping hot and bursting with great flavors. Don't be turned off by the outdated exterior and interior decor - it seems like it hasn't changed in over 20 years! It's a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The service is quick when placing a phone order, the portion sizes are generous, and there is a wide variety of choices on the menu. The prices are fair for the quality of food you receive.
Rang through my order, had it repeated back to me, told to collect in 20 minutes. Had to queue outside (no issues) Had the order repeated as I collected it. Got home, no sweet sour pork, but a bag of chips! Telephoned back, told to return it. Returned, had to queue again! Exchanged the chips for Pork balls. Reheated the rest of the meal. My single vegetable pancake roll was dripping with oil, inside, prawn and pork amongst the beansprouts! Tonight was very poor indeed.

The staff at this restaurant were excellent, very friendly, and the food was delivered on time. However, when we opened our boxes, we were hit with an unpleasant smell. The Foo Yung dish had a burnt aroma and tasted overcooked and bland. The beef and mushroom dish had large pieces of fat in it. The BBQ ribs seemed to have been sitting for a while, as they were tough and had a honey-like sauce instead of BBQ. Overall, we were disappointed with our meal.
The only gripe about this place is they do not deliver! But suppose it is a good thing as stops me eating from there more often! Certain dishes are exceptional and huge portions for reasonable prices! £10 can feed my son and myself with usually some left over! Been using this same family run business for over 20 years
Same family run business as long as I know which has been around 30 plus years. Food has never disappointed, portions are large and 1 of few places I know not online, using all these junk food hubs or taking delivery orders. This speaks for itself as they have thrived all these years
This is still the best Chinese takeaway in Nuneaton for me, I've been to lots of Chinese takeaways and this one is the only one that does not do the nasty pink sweet and sour sauce. Tastes great every time.
