"2nd time here and although food is very nice the service is not great. 2nd time same experience. Plenty of them running around but seem to forget our table and we end up waiting and calling out. That aside, it is very expensive."

Group of 3 we BYO’d). Our third member of the group arrived just as the sung choy bow came out we only ordered for 2. Asked if we would like to make it for 3 people we said yes. We then had 500g... min order) of pipies fish 1.1kg all yummy. Food was great. Service was minimal had to constantly chase staff if they acknowledged you, may or may not turn up to attend. They seemed disinterested served you with disdain clearly all been there far too long! As with previous reviews there were discrepancies in the bill BYO charge was ambiguously written on the menu hence we balked at the extra charge. The pipies fish ended up ridiculously expensive $152). We were charged 1.5 for the sung choy bow eve...

Tonight I dined alone as I have business in Sydney for 2 weeks. After 30 years of supporting this establishment I had the worst service history of all time. 10 minutes for a menu to arrive. Peking Duck plonked on my table and 5 minutes...(then cold) for anyone to bother to come and serve it ; obsolete as I did it myself ; same for the dang choi bow 2nd course. Incompetent staff who seem directionless. Will be a long, long time before I think about a further visit ; better venues to go to . Smarten up Golden Century, no accolades since 2017 and not a surprise !

Disgraceful service. I dined alone for lunch, they didn’t have what I first ordered. The food was ok, it was served late , the starter came out last , I had to ask for rice after my main was cold, (squid , warm veg (Chinese...broccoli overcooked accompanied by the most appalling service. Known as the best Chinese restaurant in Sydney, wake up!

The GC is without doubt the best restaurant experience you will have. The XO pippies are perfect, the Peking duck pancakes are the best you will have. Also, the satay chicken is the best satay chicken that has ever been tasted by anyone in this...world. Perfection.
