Golden City Chinese

I recently tried this restaurant for lunch for the first time, and I will definitely be back. The food here is amazing! I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and it was both generous and delicious. My wife and I both enjoyed it and have found a new favorite Asian restaurant. It's conveniently located near another fantastic independent restaurant, Tibby's New Orleans. Let's support local independent restaurants - it's an easy choice when the food is this good.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for 16 years and I cannot agree with all the negative reviews. I have never had any issues with the food or delivery. There was only one time when they accidentally charged my card twice, but they quickly fixed the mistake. The food is always fresh and we order a variety of items as we are a family of six.

The opening hours at this restaurant are not accurate. The Chinese food is pretty good, especially if you are dining alone. It is best to order several days worth of food for delivery. However, be aware that sometimes they may close half an hour early without prior notice, as they did tonight.

I agree with the other reviews, this place is a classic New York-style hidden gem. The garlic sauce was perfect, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. They even accommodated my request to not include rice. The menu is extensive and overall, it was a great find!
