Yuck yuck yuck. I have nothing nice to say about our dinning experience at Golden Swallow. The name alone should have been a good enough reason to avoid this place. It was all down hill from there. We ordered garlic chicken, salt and pepper chicken, Singapore noodles, beef and black bean and fried rice. How a Chinese restaurant can ruin the fried rice is beyond my comprehension but the canned spam, frozen peas and shrimp were terrible. I could have made a better fried rice at home. The rest of the dishes were swimming in flavorless, gelatinous slimy sauce with the exception of the salt and pepper chicken which, I swear, had no chicken, just soggy corn flour breading.
Absolutely fantastic! This is exactly the kind of comforting food I needed during the pandemic. The wait times can be a bit lengthy when it gets busy since there’s only one chef, but the flavor definitely makes it worth the wait! It’s a hardworking family-run place, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area for some authentic and affordable Chinese cuisine. You must try the dried fried rice noodles with beef!
We've always enjoyed ordering from this restaurant, but the quality has significantly declined. We ordered an appetizer, but after calling twice to follow up, they still didn't confirm our order. The helpline mentioned that our food wasn't even ready after an hour of waiting. The service was poor and rude. We won't be ordering from here again.
This was the worst Chinese food I've had in 20 years. The BBQ pork consisted of only five pieces, and they were tough and dry. The salt and pepper soup tasted like something from a cheap takeout place, and the fried rice had a burnt flavor. I definitely won't be returning. It was a complete waste of money, and I feel really disappointed.

so disappointed. order on Sunday 5.30 clock for 6.30 clock delivery. the food finally came to the driver at 8.15 a.m. informed that they had him wait for 30 minutes when he started ordering 1 hour after the delivery time. restaurant does not even have a number to call and check on dinge. never again.
Simply Best.. I have been a big fan for golden swallow for years!!! There is a wide selection of dishes. I can simply say this restaurant is one of the best chinese restaurants in Sydney! The seafood dishes are a must try as all the seafood is fresh and delicious!
Local restaurants offer affordable food that provides great value for money. I often grab dinner from Golden Swallow when I'm too tired to cook.
