We got the first round of beer and my class was broken after I told the waitress she changed it, but no word of regret. The Cordon ball of my friends was pretty good. I love the grill plate that looked more like a Greek dish then everything else and it was not good either. Both dishes were in the menu with French pommes, but we have something like potato wedges and no explanation why. Until then everything was fine except the fruit flies everywhere, but if we like to pay and had no money started the trouble. We were wandering around Wetzlar and settled on Goldenes Ross for lunch, being attracted to it's historical building. We found out the set promotion lunch so ordered 4 sets.....Schnitzel, white Asparagus (Spargel) etc. The food was surprisingly good, and price is more than reasonable. I especially like the Spargel and Krombacher beer. And perfect weather completes the wonderful lunch experience!
Not many people in the evening to see you were very welcoming, (I just speak English) and tried to explain the menu. I got a free salad, I have to admit that it was not to my taste and not especially fresh. (Pic added) I ordered the Rump Steak rare, (picture added) this was challenging by the language barrier. Overall very satisfied with the meal. Would recommend.
here is a nice restaurant in Wetzlar, where the food is really good, they have 4 meals each day at half price and if you are not fully up after you have eaten, then order it again and you get 2 meals for the price of 1.
