We found 25 years ago gold stone in Pasadena in the old town. This location is away when the old town Pasadena was renovated. At some point a new location opened in our area and we enjoyed their bagels and sandwiches for years. It was our place on Saturday and Sunday morning. Unfortunately, this place has closed after about 10 years. We missed this place and our little corner table where we pulled the morning away from talking and laughing. I typically don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I tried the nova lox Benedict on a tomato basil bagel. Unfortunately, the bagel was hard and definitely not fresh. The eggs were very dry, and the Hollandaise sauce tasted like mayonnaise—nothing impressive about it. The highlight was the fresh orange juice, but it was also overpriced. For a nova lox egg bagel and a small orange juice, I was charged $19. I considered going back to return the meal, but I didn’t want to cause a scene. P.S. If you're looking for better egg sandwiches, consider driving 10-15 minutes to Einstein Bagels on Foothill in Pasadena.
I love bagels.I placed an order at Goldstein's Bagel Bakery but when I returned home found it to the wrong order. I contacted the company to let them know, after all someone else ended up with my order and I'm fairly sure that they too were disappointed. Goldstein's got back to me and I was treated with the upmost customer care. The manager was amazing, making everything alright and then some. I'v found that kindness and customer service are something rare in this day and age so, hats off to Goldstein's Bagel Bakery for their prowess. The bagels here are mediocre, but good luck actually placing an order. The service feels like something out of a hidden camera show. I visited about four or five times (more if there were better bagel options nearby), and I never received what I ordered. It seems like the combination of bagel type and cream cheese flavor is too challenging for the staff to handle. Is this where the Del Taco rejections end up? I didn't think it was possible for a place to be this incompetent.
Goldstein, I see you now! Breakfast was delicious. I stumbled on this amazing place by accident. Now that I have tried a couple of items from their menu, I'll have to come back and try some more. I like that everything is straightforward and the portions are perfect. I almost didn't have enough space for my breakfast burrito, but after some breathing exercises, lol I'm exaggerating) I was able to conquer that monster burrito. Thank you to the amazing staff!
The bagels were excellent! There’s a good selection to choose from. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful. The kids really enjoyed their meals as well.
It was an hour to the end of time, and the girl took my order wrong. But, regardless of breakfast Burrito was delish. Portions are good!
