"this place is one of the better Chinese takeouts I tried here in illinois. I love her brattaube, although it's pretty pricy. her Chow fun is good too. overall, I would get some food from here."

With our move from the city, it has been on my agenda to seek out and try all of the nearby Cantonese/Chinese restaurants. Good Children's has pretty good value and tasty selections. Another plus is its location. The new Park to Shop is just next door and Kung Fu Tea is coming soon. Some of items that we've tried are: Lunch specials are an excellent deal that comes with milk tea with boba and appetizers of crab rangoon or Vietnamese spring rolls. 1) Orange chicken with fried rice 2) Fish fillet with veggies and fried rice 3) Beef short rib with fried rice 4) Mixed veggies with steamed rice Entrees 1) Buddha's delight 2) Salt and peppered pork chop 3) King mushrooms with Japanese tofu

The price is right, the portions are generous, the flavors are bold, but the depth is lacking. The pho broth was pretty bland and completely forgettable. The spicy beef tendon noodle is very bold in flavor as it comes with Sichuan pepper spices in the broth. The beef tendons itself were extremely well made and tender. Unfortunately, the broth of the soup though it tastes good, is pretty much a instant broth without depth of actusl beef fls

The Hangshao spicy beef noodle soup was good but the broth was a bit watery as if the broth wasn't well blended. They give you a HUGE bowl. Too many noodles IMO but you've have leftovers for days. I did NOT like my lamb and bean curd dish. It did not look like the picture at all and the lamb and vegetables looked old.

Good value lunch with Crab Rangoon or Fried Egg roll with a smoothie of your choice. The Mongolian Beef had a wonderful wok stir fry flavor that deep and smoky, one that's simply impossible to achieve at home or at least not without lots of oil and leaving your house smelling like a oily kitchen.
