We were a party of 9 popped in here for lunch with Australian relatives and lucky to be able to use the big table in the middle and we could all sit together. Very welcoming on our arrival. Waitress was very friendly and efficient and able to note down all our choices and requests with helpful advice. Our food selection was delicious from the spicy sweet potato soup with cheese scone to the pizzas and filled rolls with bacon/sausage/egg/ black pudding and bowls of chips for us all to share! Teas and coffees came in separate pots for each individual. Everything was as it should be, very tasty and we all commented on how efficient chef and staff were forgetting nothing and very orderly. I recently visited this restaurant for brunch, reminiscing about the times I had visited as a child when it had a very old-fashioned vibe. However, with new owners, the place has been revamped and is now a more modern and appealing option compared to our usual spot, the bothy. The decor was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We both ordered lattes which were slightly cold, but the breakfast rolls we ordered were delicious. One had sausage and egg, while the other had bacon and egg. Both were cooked perfectly, and the brioche buns added a nice touch. The prices were a bit on the higher side at £4.50 for a roll plus 75p for each additional item, but we would still consider...
My friends and I decided to try Gordon's after having a mediocre experience at another restaurant in Braemar the day before. The only downside was that they didn't open until 10am, and we had arrived a bit early and were very hungry. However, we all ordered the brioche breakfast buns and found them to be absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience that I would definitely recommend.
The staff, ambiance, quality, decor, and cleanliness were fantastic. I have never felt more comfortable in one of the best places to visit in Scotland. Braemar is not expensive, offers free parking, and is set in beautiful surroundings. Book a table now
We had Cullen Skink and pea soup accompanied by warm cheese scones. Both the soups were delicious and piping hot. The scones were some of the very best that we've tasted in a while.
A very excellent pair of scones with jam and cream, a good pot of Earl Grey tea, after a long walk in the mountains. The service was excellent, timely and friendly.
We visited Braemar as we drove towards Speyside. Gordon’s offered a good coffee and a top class cheese scone. It was large , good crust and fluffy inner. Delicious!
Excellent tearoom and Cafe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even Grandson cleared his plate which is unusual For him. Our food was excellent and we enjoyed it Book a table now
Service wasn’t friendly at all, the sandwiches were as basic as could be with no accompaniments and were expensive for what they were. Sadly we won’t be returning.
Had a lovely lunch of Cullen Skink (smoked haddock leek and potato soup) with cheese scone. Delicious Good service. Nice coffee too
