During our first visit to the diner for lunch, we had a wonderful experience. I ordered a cocktail and coffee, both of which were excellent. I tried the Mandarin chicken salad with cold noodles and Thai dressing, and it was not only delicious but also a generous portion. My mother had pancakes, eggs, and bacon, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't have to wait long at all, and the service was quick and friendly. Our server, Susana, was incredibly sweet, and her twin sister, who also works there, was equally enthusiastic. We'll definitely be returning!
I ordered the Red Hook Burger well done, but it arrived medium and had a rare center. The burger only had half a slice of cheese, and just a small amount of sauce. The onion strips were burned, and the bun was tough, almost stale. The bacon was overcooked to the point of being crispy, crumbling apart with just one bite. The only highlight of the meal was the Tex-Mex Rolls, which is why I'm giving it a two-star rating. I was disappointed; it's not what I remembered from this place. I won’t be ordering from here again unless there are some changes.
Gotham diner Fairfield NJ on Broadway) never disappointed us. From the 1st time we found out about the diner was about 6 years ago. I was caring for a friend who was handicap who since passed on). Now my husband and I come in almost weekly or order in. The food is amazing the portions are great. The staff is awsome the twins are the one that the guy I cared for John) only wanted to be served by one of them. Now we are served by them. They are absolutely the best. I would recommend the diner to anyone. Thank you all for being so amazing.
The Gotham specialty sandwich was amazing! What an unexpected delight.. I ordered it because I saw skirt steak.. did not even read the rest of the description. The sauce was so savory and robust! Even my fiancé loved it and he is incredibly picky. Absolutely coming back here as soon as we can. My only complaint was our server. She only checked on us a handful of times and we were kinda forgotten about. Normally we don’t mind but she was gone so long we were dehydrated. Aside from that though, we were very pleased!

I have to say honestly; we were not really out or had a good meal that we enjoyed in a very long time throughout the pandemic! This sit down diner was the best food I had for a long time. The waitresses are always pleasant to speak, they always check if you need anything. The pancakes are the best! Actually, it's okay. This will be our new way to place date night with the family. Great!
The roasted turkey specialty is always a favorite, but it can be a bit pricey! My wife insists that the person who makes the soup deserves an award!
