We sat on a Saturday afternoon on the terrace that was empty. Just what it was. No one came to us after 5-8 minutes. Then I thought there was no table service. We went to the ice-cutter and they indicated they were coming to the table. We gave the order and the waitress told us to choke one of us to go with him. We did not understand why this is necessary. It is rare today to meet smiling waiters, assistants etc. As retired teacher for hospitality professinals I say that our experience on Whitsun Sunday was excellent. The coffee was stylish, the ice cream was perfect and the service was pleasant, helpful and patient. Our 3.5-year-old little girl and her dad, friend and even I were satisfied and grateful for this beautiful trip to Toelzer Land. It's just an hour from Muenchen by train.
Ice cream for lunch? Why not! The cafe had a great variety, and we all chose something exciting and a little bit different. I had a delicious butterscotch and nut sundae, whilst my friends chose blueberry sundae, chocolate nut sundae, cherry spaghetti ice and a fruit pizza! They were all lovely, and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit!
Some of the best ice cream can be found outside of Italy. Large selection of flavors in excellent quality. And the price of 1 Euro per bucket is cheap! Good location in the center of the city.
