I've driven by here going to and from work for the past 21 years and never been here. Finally tonight, I convince my wife to give this place a shot. We start off with the white sangria. Sangria was excellent. Not too sweat and the perfect amount of alcohol. I've had many pitchers that they kill it with sugar and skimp on the alcohol. This was very well done. Appetizers were fried calamari and Spanish sausage. Calamari was VERY chewy and the tomatoe sauce was not the greatest which is understandable since it's not an Italian restaurant; but the calamari was not the greatest. I'm spittle worried. The Spanish sausage came in for the save. It was excellent. Not over cooked nor overwhelmingly sal...

Having dined at numerous Spanish restaurants, I'm familiar with the usual dishes like Paella, Mariscada, and shrimp in garlic. However, what sets this place apart is the unique preparation and quality of ingredients that elevate their dishes. Everything we tried here was far superior in flavor compared to other Spanish eateries. The green sauce that accompanied my wife's Mariscada was so delicious that I could have enjoyed it as a soup on its own—I couldn't stop dipping my bread into it! As for the snails we ordered as an appetizer, they were tender and wonderfully garlicky, with just the right balance of flavor. My broiled seafood combo came with its own sauce that was equally delightful....
My partner and I gathered tonight to this establishment located in Hawthorne to celebrate a milestone birthday with friends and family. The entrance to their small parking lot is a bit tricky if one is not from the area as it's right by the bridge. Upon arrival, Spanish artwork of matadors and bulls can be seen throughout the restaurant. Being basically of Spanish cuisine, the menu features paellas, seafood, shrimp, lobster, steaks, sausages, etc. Complimentary rolls started our family menu consisting of a side salad, Penne in Vodka Sauce, Paella Valenciana with no lobster (Rice, Chicken, Sausage and Shellfish), Chicken Extremena, Veal Castellana (Sautéed in Sherry Wine and Artichokes). The...
We came here for a random mini date : overall the place is ok. I'd come back here if I had to. At the same time, it wasn't anything especially memorable. The restaurant itself is very cozy, and they place nice music in the background. They have a small parking lot. Food: My husband had steak, it was ok. Came topped with potatoes and veggies. I had the seafood dish in red sauce, it was ok too. Dinner comes with choice of soup or salad. we chose soup, It was white bean soup I think, it was ok. Dinner also comes with potato chips and rice. We had ice-cream for dessert, it was ok too. Prices are moderate. Main dishes are between 19 and high 20s, which seems very reasonable. The staff was very fr... Book a table now
Still my go to when I want great authentic Spanish food. The neighborhood is not great but they have their own small lot which is pretty safe . I've never had an issue. The inside is clean and appealing. Very cozy. The food is great and always consistent . Some of my favorites are the shrimp cocktail, the paella and their homemade potato chips. The sangria is amazing. Very tasty but packs a punch, make sure your not driving! I would always recommend it here, I find it better than going to Newark for similar food and they are family owned!
This is the worst paella I have ever eaten in my life. Bad, very bad. Dry, it didn't taste like anything, it had no color, it had almost no shellfish. It was a yellow rice with some clams. La peor paella que yo haya comido. Si es que se le puede llamar paella. Porque no a eso sabía. Ellos mezclan arroz amarillo con algunos cosas que no son mariscos. No recomiendo comer paella en ese restaurante. Muy mala.
We ordered the paella for takeout for easter dinner. The menu said each tray would feed 2 people, and there was plenty!! During this crazy pandemic, we were happy to support a local restaurant and we were not disappointed! Food was steaming when we brought it home and the seafood tasted extremely fresh. Highly recommend for dine in and takeout as well!
The paella itself was decent, but not exceptional. It was a bit on the soggy side and the flavor was lacking, although there was a generous amount of seafood included. They were also punctual, and I received my food right when I arrived. I would consider returning, but I would opt for a different dish and maybe a smaller portion of the paella to share. Came here for a date night since my boyfriend said I needed to try the paella here. They do paella for two and have different choices as well. I feel like it was just a big bowl of rice with hardly any seafood in it which was very disappointing for the price you pay.The only thing good I can say about this place was the sangria is amazing!
