We came for lunch. My husband ha d a good burger. I had a salad which was also tasty except that some of the lettuce was wilted and some outright slimy. When I pointed it out to the waiter he just said apologized and expressed that these things happen. Well, I don’t expect that from a restaurant.
Le Grand’ Café in Moulins is justifiably famous for the belle epoque interiors. The food is so-so but we were grateful that they were open on a Monday evening and were happy to accommodate our dog. Not sure we’ll be back as service was slow, food unimaginative and poorly presented.
Because the food is a lot less special. It really looks amazing, checkout all the pictures. Everywhere mirrors and fin de siecle scenery. We loved it. On the other hand the menu is pretty standard brasserie fare. Not bad, but not very good either.
Food was poor. Last time we went it was great. Salade de chevre chaud and Caesar salad. Memorable for the wrong reasons. 2 stars are just for the fantastic interior.
