"While the waitress was extremely polite, she failed to explain the amuse bouches and not to serve the wine at all. My sweet breads were very undercooked and there was a clear lack of spices in all dishes. Total very disappointing"

We didn't go to Grand Hotel Pelisson neither on purpose nor recommended. We just passed by and decided to give it a try, noting the 3* at the Hotel's entrance and the pretty nice building in the middle of Nontron. Not disappointed at all; very nice welcome from the Manager and the staff until we reached a table by pool's windows. We booked a table while it was the knife festival. We were not told that it was a solid menu as it was the festival. So firm price, solid menu.... all prepared in advance, but without taste, harmony and consistency. This is not a kitchen traditional fait avec amour for us, but Hey tourist that is bad food for high price. Never again.

the bread rolls were cold and hard, we poured our own wine, the food was poor, the waiter was miserable, and very unhelpful, massive bowls of rocket lettuce enough bowls to feed 20 people.overall bad service all round, wont be going back ever. don't use it.not worth the money charged.no personal touches, just a business.

Had a lovely family dinner here on a very hot evening which meant we missed out on sitting overlooking the pool outside as it was too hot. Recently changed hands and refurbished but the service was great and with a lovely smile and the food excellent too. We were delighted to see it back at its best.
