My family and I enjoyed the interaction with our meal. We got the meat plate, shrimp and the vegetables we wanted. Chose the bone broth and we ate everything. The pot stickers were also delicious. The staff show customers how the do hot pot if not done before. A variety of ways to cook your soup, dipping sauces, broths, proteins and vegetables and noodles, rice. Something for everyone- carnivores, vegans and everyone in between. Good for couples and families and groups. Would go again.
Overall, my experience at the restaurant was good. However, we were disappointed to find out that they were out of fresh shrimp and veggie noodles for our hot pot. We had to ask the waitress for help when the bottom of the hot pot started burning. Another customer later told us that we should have received a remote control to regulate the heat. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a fun time and will definitely be returning in the future.
While Grand Mongolian Pot features an advisory menu on how to add vegetables and meat to the hot broth, I thought they could've done a better job guiding customers who are new to the experience. If they'd feature a menu with options based on the party's size, it would help. The meat was very tough as we pulled it out of the broth and we had to discard it. I don't think I'll go to another hot pot again based on this experience.
Food was good. Service was ok. Our table had planned on ordering more food, instead our server just dropped off the check and ran away before could even say anything assuming we were finished. She then proceeded to basically stalk our table waiting for us to pay. I would understand if the place was busy but there were plenty of open tables available. Book a table now
We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. The owner greeted us warmly, assisted us with the menu and cooking process. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection, and the custom table added to the overall experience. It was a great way to enjoy a healthy meal and have some fun. We will definitely return in the future.
Tried Grand Hotpot for the first time about a month ago and they knocked it out of the park. This tome was for my birthday and they did it again! The food is amazing, the service is top notch and the price is worth it.
Valentine’s Day. First time having Hot Pot. Being a new restaurant it was a bit chaotic in terms of service but the food is wonderful! We’re looking forward to going back. A great new edition for Park Ridge
Food was great. Service was mediocre. We arrived for dinner around 5:30 and it was before the rush. We asked for assistance multiple times because we weren’t waited on. Book a table now
We ate outside and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rolled ice cream was amazing for dessert
