Green Door Cafe - Table reservation

I'm not going to lie, we had extremely high hopes for this place with the high google rating and it being vegan... BUT! It seemed like all the food (even the Mac and cheese) was seasoned with Mexican spices. The Mac and cheese was just as sour as a lemon and quite bitter (none of the creamy buttery deliciousness you look forward to) the tomato soup had unshelled pumpkin seeds that couldn't be eaten, and the jackfruit tacos were soft and overpowered again by a sour sauce, missing some jalapeno or something like that. Best vegan food in the world! Yum 10/10 recommend everything is so delicious I love the salads that come with most entrees too! Soooo good I cannot recommend this place enough. Also lovely people working here, great service, great food, great location. We were in La Jolla on vacation and came here to eat almost everyday and the food was amazing every time.

Delicious vegan food in a cozy atmosphere! The staff was friendly, and there were so many tasty-sounding dishes, it was hard to pick one. I went with the lasagne, which I have absolutely zero regrets over choosing as my entree. Will definitely visit again if I ever find myself in La Jolla in the future.

Cosy culinary experience with a great vegan menu, definitely a place we would come back to. Warm and friendly staff. We had Bombay Bombenburger, the penne and chocolate cake, all of which were good. Having a parking space on Sunday night was not difficult.

Gluten free vegan heaven!!! Everything was so well seasoned and delicious. We got the Reuben, pesto panini, and the French toast. Service was fantastic and I def felt safe dining on their outdoor patio
