I went to Green Papaya for lunch with a friend since I had heard about the restaurant a while back. The restaurant itself is cute. It was rather quiet when we came. There were only 2 other tables besides us there with about 2-3 people.....I ordered chicken in peanut sauce a mango soup as a starter. The soup was good but sadly not hot at all like a soup should be. It seemed to me as if it had been taken out of a pot of precooked food poorly heated up.. The main course was even worse.. My food was hardly warm anymore when it got to me. The portion of rice I was given was TINY! The green tea I had was good, they have very interesting different teas there. This wasn't the worst part of my visit,...
we both ordered a vegetarian court with tofu. my companion found leber and some pork in the food (see picture of pork). we complained and put aside their court. nothing happened about 10 minutes, after a second complaining they took the court back....They apologized a thousand times and not charged, but our dinner was spoiled. they probably use a standard not vegertarian broth for their various dishes that could explain this. they therefore do not serve vegetarian purpose. if they are a carnivore, they should be in order.
On a business trip two of us ended up in Hilden near Dusseldorf and tried the Green Papya for dinner. Have to say that the food was good, particularly the duck and really good value. We arrived about 8.30pm with the main dining room full...but once 9pm came we were pretty much the only ones left! The duck was very tasty as was the chicken noodle dish and the chicken satay starter. Service was hit miss as we found it difficult to get their attention but if I end up back in HIlden at some stage I'd certainly revisit!
We have been there once but we are planning another visit.It is better to reserve to get a table.Most i liked the summerrolls with a delicate dip.Nearly every meal you can get with chicken or fish or tofu.The ambience is well advised with buddhas and...plants but not too much It is still modern styled.The prices are adequate and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I was on business in Hilden. I had a mango salad with chicken. I could not see any mango. The salad was really a cucumber salad. The taste was pretty good. I then had a beef pho. The beef was a little bit overbooked. However...the soup base was excellent. The service generally was efficient. I would be back if I would be in Hilden again.realreally a
Was crowded when I dropped in. They found me a table quick. The food was good, filling. The beer was served in a bottle sized glass which quite is way too big for me. Overall service went easy and Knowing only English can be a...problem for a guy like me. Found it difficult to follow the German menu.
I was there to eat. the location looks clean and it is decorated with flowers and lampions, as normal Asian place. the food was good, portion normal. almost large. prices are good (40 eur for 2 people: appetizer, main dish and drinks).
eating was really nice. there was only 1 waitress, while the place (small small) was full. the prices are very reasonable, in particular taking into account the quality of foodstuffs. I'm sure it goes back when I'm in the opposite.

the eating is in the did good and the wee is not expensive, but the staff does not speak properly English (there is an English menu available), and they do not accept cards.
Great Asian dishes and wonderful herbal teas (don't miss these). Reservations suggested as this place is very popular.
