What better way to prepare for the ‘gruelling’ 190 step climb to the roof of the Greene King brewery than a pit stop on the Beer Cafe. I limited myself to an energy boosting slice of chocolate cake while my significant other indulged in a soup washed down with an Americano. But what made this refuelling special was the friendly staff and chatty fellow customers united by an appreciation for good beer. Spoiler alert the cafe is adjacent to the shop a chance to stock up or even grab a present for someone you want to impress. Thank you!

Popped in here last week for lunch. Its situated near the theatre in the quiet part of Bury St Edmunds. I ordered a lasagne which was really nice, i also saw someone order the pie and I must admit I had some food envy when the plate went past, it looked great, will save that for next time. As the café is situated next to and part of the brewery the choice of beer is great and the quality of real ale is off the charts as you would expect. Staff really great, friendly service, will definitely go back.

Our first visit to the Beer Cafè. Staff are so friendly and welcoming we felt at ease immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the chicken mayo wrap and macaroni cheese both were fresh and delicious. It was nice to be offered either a cup or mug of tea. Definitely worth a trip. The menu isn’t big but there’s something for everyone I’m sure obviously there’s beer in-house too!

I recently visited the Greene King Beer Cafe for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I ordered pie and chips for lunch, which was cooked perfectly. The prices for the food and drinks were very reasonable, and the staff were polite, friendly, and provided excellent service. I will definitely be returning in the future. Book a table now

lousy food, expensive, and also you have to pay for it in advance and take the drinks to the table. There are only 2 waiters counting the kitchen. We asked for a stake, the most expensive on the menu and it was indomitable and the salad was for sheep, without oil, salt or vinegar. A horror!!

We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The food was tasty and the portions were generous, offering great value for the money. The service was exceptionally friendly. I would definitely revisit this place, as the menu features delightful options for both brunch and lunch.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and very reasonably priced. A group of nine people all enjoyed their meals and thought it was excellent.
