This is a very expensive restaurant. The customer service is not good and we felt we were just a problem to the staff. We were a group of 8 so not too many. We were a mixture of Spanish and Northern European. The salad (2 plates) was mostly old lettuce and totally of poor quality. The fish while very expensive was standard and nothing to go back for. The steaks were requested to be medium they were grossly undercooked and had to be recooked again and very tough with a lot of gristle. The meat dishes had only crisps, no potatoes or any veg. The plates were “dumped” on the table and we were not asked if our food was OK even when quite a lot of food was left uneaten. Some were asked for coffee...
We had visited this restaurant last year with family and had enjoyed the meal. We thought we would have a similar experience today, but sadly we should have gone elsewhere. We ordered cuttle fish to start and a salad with bread. Everything in the salad was out of a jar and pickled and the bread came dry with no butter or alioli. The cuttlefish also just looked as if it was from a tin and fried. I ordered salmon and the waitress asked whether I would like potatoes or vegetable, so I asked for potato, this arrived as a salmon steak and was also just deep fried with crisps! Teníamos dudas por ser de pocas estrellas. Pero la verdad nos fue mejor que en muchos de 4 estrellas. Nos atendieron genial. Nos ayudaron con todo. El servicio impecable. Hablan en todos los idiomas. La habitación impecable. Limpia y las camas aguantaron más de lo que creía. Además las vistas geniales con la salida del sol y el ocaso. También pudimos participar de una tarima con excelente música y al cerrar la ventana, totalmente insonorizado. Fue brutal la experiencia. Y de la comida no hablar. Stopped here today as a beautiful location in santiago del riberia right opposite Mar Menor seafront and beach. Took a while before waiter arrived to take our order. Three friends, we ordered coffees and i had a tonic water. We chose toastado with tomato and olive oil and pan with russian salad. Food and drinks were all good altho didnt get a spoon or fork or a plate to eat the russian salad. The waiter could have been a little more attentive. Great location. Typically spanish food and local customers.
Excelente hotel, sencillo, funcional , limpio con excelente precio. Ubicación privilegiada. Ideal familia,primera línea de playa. Precio calidad ideal. Personal atento y simpático. En especial el gerente y el recepcionista un señor Francés encantador servicial y muy simpático al igual que el resto de personal. Es la tercera vez que paso unos excelentes días de sosiego y reposo disfrutando de santiago de la Ribera de un ambiente estupendo y de una playa única.
Pedimos arroz y marisco para 4 y estaba brutal. Te lo ponen con alioli y limon. Los calamares a la andaluza de los mejores que he probado y el pulpito… una delicia. La comida ha sido de diez, buena comida, buen ambiente, en terracita mirando al mar menor..Que más se puede pedir? El camarero (César) un espectáculo y una muy buena calidad precio. Recomendado!
