Grill Courtepaille

This Short-Size is like the small establishments of this chain: half circle room around the fireplace with wood fire, exposed beams, etc...But the decor has been a little modernized: a little more brightness and less rustic objects. It's better. The reception is always nice in this establishment where the manager cares about the well being of his clients. We've been there for years and the good reception is a constant. If this short straw conforms to the string's charter, it also undergoes the recent changes since its buyback by buffalo: more host salad but a soup cup without great interest. the map of the grilling is much smaller and that of the hamburgers took volume. the charcuterie board...

We arrived into Pontivy on a Sunday afternoon trust me this town pays no heed to any European Standards on restaurant and shop opening times. Everything was shut but luckily right next to the only decent hotel in town (IBIS) is the Courtepaille. Service was excellent, fast and efficient and friendly and the food was of equally high standard considering it is mostly produced off site. The duck confit was really good and the fish en pappiotte also great. Portions are generous and food was served quickly and hot. Not surprisingly, the place filled up as the evening drew on and not with hotel guests but from elsewhere. This is clearly the go to place.

Standard Courtepaille fare, was quiet whenever we went there and service was excellent, food is reasonable, and it is very convenient for the ibis, but the menu is limited and doesn't change very often.

The food was cooked nicely and was hot and tasty but the service was hit and miss. I like the concept but am not sure this is one of my favourite of the chain

very nice dinner, dynamic and pleasant team. Very good meal! My family enjoyed this outing during our stay in Brittany.
