"Nice staff but it wasn’t much different from a buffalo grill. Maybe I was expecting too much. The food was average. We enjoyed the desert more than the steak!"

We chose this restaurant because we stayed in a nearby hotel and it was within walking distance. It didn't look open from the front as you could not see any lights on. Inside the décor is modern, airy and clean looking with a big grill area for open cooking. We sat outside as it was such good weather. The menu is mainly meat/steak and burgers. I had goats chees wrapped in parma ham salad for starters and a burger for main. everything was delicious. My husband had steak which was also cooked well (medium rare) and not chewy and he had an eggs and salmon dish for starters which he really enjoyed. The staff can speak a bit of English some more than others and there is an English translated menu...

When you eat at a Courtpaille restaurant you know exactly what is on offer. They are all the same, so there are no surprises. This is not fine dining, but none the worse for that. There is no pretension, the food is well prepared and presented, served by friendly and efficient staff and is good value for money. In our experience the restaurants are always spotlessly clean. There was a time when travelling in France we would not have dreamed of eating in a fast food grill, but after having been disappointed by so many meals in traditional auberges and hotels we have changed our minds. Situated in the industrial zone, this is a good place to eat if staying in one of the nearby hotels.

We were in the Ibis opposite, decided to wander over, it did look shut but just the lighting. Lovely welcome. Never eaten in one of these before. Had perfect temp bottled Desperados, a lovely mixed platter sharer. I had entrecote and my OH the cote de boeuf, both lovely, well cooked. We had the tarte au citron which was very tart just as it should be. It cost about €102 but we had quite a few beers which in France puts the price of your meal up very enjoyable would go again.

We were staying at the Ibis opposite, when we decided to eat here. What an excellent choice it was. The staff were friendly and efficient. The main dishes appeared to be mainly steak, burgers, and similar, cooked on a large barbecue area in the centre of the restaurant. The resulting food and wine could not have been better.
