Wir hatten ganz in der Nähe eine Baustelle und für 10 Leute 5 Arbeitet und wir 5, für ein Mittagessen reserviert. Als Hauptspeise hatte es lediglich verschiedene Filets mit Brat-Kartoffeln und Salat auf der Karte. 50 Franken fürs Zmittag reichte pro Person nicht. Vor allem für die Arbeiter war das jenseits von ihrem Budget. In ein Grotto geh ich wegen „Tessineressen“. Ich erwartete ein Risotto, vielleicht mit Luganighe oder Pilzen, eine Polenta mit Käse oder sonst etwas einfaches. Ein Risotto ist so schnell gemacht wie Bratkartoffeln. Wenn man weiss, dass eine solche Gruppe kommt, kann man schon mal die Bouillon für das Risotto vorbereiten. Bis die Leute den Salat gegessen haben, ist der Ris...
Kürzlich habe ich meinen 60. Geburtstag im Grotto Torcett gefeiert. Die 25 Gäste die meisten aus der Deutschschweiz waren begeistert. Wir wurden in einem tollen Ambiente mit einem ausgezeichneten Grotto Essen verwöhnt: Aufschnitt, Käse, exquisitem Grillfleisch, Bratkartoffeln, verschiedenen Desserts. Alles qualitativ hochstehend. Der Wein war exzellent. Der Wirt ist ein Grillkünstler und ein raffinierter Weinkenner. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt. Last but not least: Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam, kompetent und einfühlsam.
HE MADE US PAY FOR THE TAP WATER!!!!!! NEVER GO TO THIS GROTTO AGAIN, when we went to the owner (who is the same one who cooks your food to ask for an explanation and to point out that he has no right to charge for a public good like tap water he has said that we are embarrassing customers who go to his grotto to drink tap water (obviously we also bought wine! . SO MUCH IGNORANCE, poor world!
Es war Montag – eigentlich «Wirtesonntag» – geschlossen. Für unsere Gruppe (13 Leute) wurde hier auf Bestellung ein göttliches Tessineressen serviert. Einfach herrlich. Zuerst Speck, Salami, Gurken, Zwiebeln, und und und zum Apero mit Weisswein. Dann Polenta mit Rindsbraten und Tessiner Rotwein. Das Wirtepaar ist sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam. Gerne wieder. Excellent location and food, but the service from the two ladies was terrible. This starts from the welcome. The blonde lady is unpleasant and incompetent. We were a table of six people. We are not tourists, but indigenous customers. We won't be back again. Unfortunately the terrible service affects the rest of the quality.
BEWARE IF THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR THE TAP WATER (or as they justify it we don 't make you pay for the water but for the service : Hotel and catering establishments law: Article 24 When main meals are served, the manager MUST provide water free of charge . BY LAW THEY CANNOT AND MUST NOT MAKE YOU PAY FOR WATER.
Wonderful experience at Grotto Torcett, I ate a delicious grilled Tomahawk!! Those who write terrible reviews evidently don 't understand what going to the grotto means and Mr. Guidotti is anything but an ignorant person!!
