Pretty standard looking neighborhood coffee shop. It kept us coming back here for several times since we were visiting from out of town. I've had their espresso tonic, cappuccino, and latte. They're all good. Their food is delicious, I love their vegan avocado toast and tofu scramble. My friend said he liked their breakfast sandwich and even ordered one to take on our flight home. Would recommend if you live in this area especially their food offerings if you've only tried their coffee. The portions are good too
Groundswell has absolutely incredible cupcakes!!! I?m totally addicted. Their coffee and brunch are delightful too. I love how spacious and bright the space is, and the staff is always friendly. This was my go-to study spot in college, but I?ve continuedcoming here, even though I now live in Minneapolis. I really enjoyed the holiday market they hosted last December, and Iappreciate that they highlight local artist. This is truly a neighborhood spot, and it?s worth the trip!
Waited 45 minutes for 2 omelettes with hashbrowns. Omelettes were small, ham was sliced up lunchmeat and the hashbrowns were so salty they were inedible. The female staff person emptying the garbage went straight to touching clean silverware and then to serve our food without washing her hands. The only good part of the visit was the gluten-free chocolate muffin, however, I will find out in a couple hours if it was actually GF. I would not visit this place again.
I have been visiting this fantastic neighborhood coffee shop on a weekly basis for the past few years, and it is definitely my favorite place to be (especially when I need to do homework). The staff at Groundswell are amazing, the food is always fresh and delicious, the coffee is top-notch, and you would be hard-pressed to find a coffee shop in the area with better natural lighting and good work tables. I enjoy coming to this restaurant after a walk for a special treat. Although I have never tried their meal options, their pastries are amazing. They also offer a free water station with cups and straws. The outdoor seating is wonderful, with options for both shade and sun. The MN cookie is a must-try - despite its seemingly conflicting ingredients, it is actually delicious and worth the price. Plus, it is a generous portion size, making it a great value.
This cafe is amazing! We visited on a Sunday morning, walking over from our AirBnb, and we were so glad we did. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the interior is beautifully decorated. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place! The chai tea was delicious and perfectly spiced. Be sure to check out the entire cafe, there are cute booths in one area. Overall, this cafe is a hidden gem in St. Paul.
This restaurant is perfect for both large groups and individuals. They offer delicious breakfast options with a wide variety of bakery items and coffee. The atmosphere is clean and has a youthful vibe. The indoor seating area can get busy, but there is outdoor seating available when the weather is nice. Street parking is the only option, so you may have to walk a short distance to the restaurant.
