My now wife and I we're looking for a place that our families from all over the USA and abroad could get together the night before our wedding. We feel in love with the vibe of the place and after a few visits we inquired about possibly hosting a large family get together . Anthony was very accommodating and offered us the use of the beer garden for the night and a lovely catering menu. On the night the weather was horrible and he invited us to move our celebration inside and we had a great time all 70 plus of us. The food. My schedule has been nuts and I’ve been trying to get into this place for a year….tonight finally worked out. I ordered the fish and chips. Wow… this was definitely the best fish and chips I’ve had as far back as I can remember. The fish was perfectly cooked, thin breading….evenly breaded and tasted great. The fries are shoestring and we’re cooked typical. I’ll ask for mine well done next time. And next time being before the years up!! If I wasn’t leaving the country tomorrow id go back sooner… Regardless, the staff was prompt and helpful. The place looks like it can pack lots of people in comfortably. I might just go and order a buffet of good if I have the time… it was that good!
Fantastic concept! They offer high-quality craft beers and delicious food, and the ambiance is enchanting. Everything seems set for an outstanding experience. However, the execution leaves much to be desired. The waitstaff is inadequately trained, leading to long waits for service. There have also been multiple occasions where our orders were forgotten. We genuinely want to enjoy this place, but each visit has been marred by the staff's lack of training and organization. The food is exceptional, and the beer selection is impressive. They have all the right elements to be a great venue; just be ready for subpar service.
If you are in the area, Growler and Gill is a Must Go To place for any serious beer enthusiasts. The beer selection is enormous both from the tap and by the bottle. And Hey, even if you aren't into beer, they have delicious wings and the pub food selection is great as well. They need better Brats! But I won't hold it against them. LOL I'd give the place a 6, if I could. The staff are friendly and owner is a great guy. Everyone is very down to earth and helpful. Don't know why I never went sooner, this place is great. It has a Central Perc type seating at the entrance, big main restaurant and bar, and then a spacious beer garden (dog friendly) out the back. Great atmosphere, great staff, delicious food and a winner selection of tap beer and bottled. My wife and daughter enjoyed it as much as I did. We made our own smorgasbord with spinach and artichoke dip, Bavarian pretzels, fish chips and a pulled pork sandwich. All fresh, delicious and well prepared. Big menu and reasonable prices too. We'll be back often.
We waited 30 minutes for cold fries. The staff apologized, explaining that the ticket didn’t print, and assured us they would be right back with our other order. However, we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for that as well. Thankfully, the sampler was hot and delicious, and the beer was good too. When the bill arrived, we found three items on it that we hadn’t ordered.
I've been dining here for years, and I can confidently say that the food is of high quality and absolutely delicious. My favorites include the Polish pierogi (though I may have spelled that incorrectly), potato pancakes, and pizza. They also offer a vast selection of beers that changes frequently, so there’s always something new to try! I highly recommend it!
Love the beer selection they have as well as the friendly the staff that work here. The food is good pub food and they had a great Oktoberfest selection. Reasonable prices and would highly recommend for beer enthusiasts looking for a great selection to drink onsite and to take home.
