I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more...
I found this restaurant while looking for a place to eat in Pleasenton. The food at this attractive Napali / Indian restaurant was great. The group had an expert in Indian food in the group and could choose top quality dishes and the waitress helped with the napal meal. Everything about this cozy Pleasenton restaurant will keep us coming back time and time again. Try it, you will like it. P.S. The prices are very moderate, the tab for the four of us was $ 65,
Really cute place, only about 7 months old, it's food from Nepal. The staff are very nice and will help you choose the food if you don't know all of the menus. Good portions for a fair price for really unique food (and really good food!)
The menu offers both Indian and Nepalese food. We only tried the Nepalese cuisine and enjoyed the unique flavors on our sample plate. I will definitely come again.

First time at Guru and have new Indian favourite. Stopped in mid-afternoon while they were preparing for an event and they welcomed us with patience and grace.
The food was good, not the best Nepalese food in the bay area but they get there. It's a new restaurant and they are doing very well.
Turned up on our reservation to find the restaurant was closed. Regular meal time Our reservation was made for days in advance ....
