Can't miss hand made pretzels in St. Louis you can watch them being made. This is the mainstay pretzel place near Anheuser Busch brewery. Gus' has been serving pretzel sticks, twists, (and ends) for decades. Pretzel wrapped hotdogs, brats, Italian salsiccia are all delicious choices. Hot cheese sauce is offered as well as numerous types of jarred mustard. On the go yellow mustard and ketchup packets are also offered. Frozen pretzels and bottled water/soft drinks go well with your selections.
The staff here are incredibly friendly! It's a cozy spot, and I didn't notice any tables inside, but we were able to sit at an outdoor table at the nearby café while waiting for them to open. The best part is that they offer food that's free from soy, dairy, and eggs, which is a huge relief for our family with food allergies! The kids really enjoyed the small bites because they were easy to eat—so soft and delicious. It was a fantastic snack from a fantastic place!
My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time about a week ago, and we’re already back for the third time! If it weren’t for my work schedule, we’d probably have come more often. The pretzels here are fantastic, and the staff is friendly, all at great prices. Everything is absolutely delicious, and you definitely leave feeling satisfied. My personal favorites are the garlic butter and cinnamon pretzels. We can't wait to return!
The space is charming, conveniently located right across from the Anheuser-Busch Brewery—perfect for pairing beer with pretzels. The prices for the pretzels are very reasonable, and it’s interesting to watch them being made behind the window in-store. While Gus' is a popular stop for tourists in St. Louis, I wouldn’t recommend it anymore based on flavor. Book a table now
This restaurant is a St. Louis landmark that you simply have to visit. The pretzels are fantastic, and you definitely should try the bratwurst and Italian sausage!
My daughter can't wait to come to STL and this is too on her list. She's 3! Bratwurst and the pepper jack cheese top favorite!
