This place has two faces: one for the week, one for the weekend. During the summer months the rooms during weekends are blocked for wedding guests that rent the premises for wedding and other functions on the nice lawn in front of the sunny café...terrace with colourful furniture. Most people therefor stay just a few days, on weekdays, in summer mostly with small children. These families come here for the Ravenburger Spielland nearby that is famous all over Europe. I struggled to find a hotel in Germany online that was worth the price. As there were not many hotels in Ravensburg that suited my purpose. I needed a place that was close to a Venue as I was going for a Wedding. This is...a quiet village that is similiar to Switzerland surrounded by beautiful trees. You definitely need a car to get to this Hotel as I did not see any buses. If it wasnt for the Wedding I attended I wouldn't have chose this place. the accommodation is nice and family friendly. there are also many activities with children close to all approx. 10 minutes away to do. the big problem was the heating. the heating did not work for the first night in cold snow april weather (exceptional. april this year) with my persistence we still have a room for the second night, but the same problem! the rooms were ice cold. we and children are sleeping with a sack! we ended up with a sick child and a sick baby. I chose Gut Hügle because I found the photos on a booking portal impressive. But the reality is even better. It is a real Swabian farmhouse in the country side. I loved the atmosphere, the place is so family and kid friendly that I haven't...even thought: many playgrounds with sandboxes and the tiny excavators and tractors were so cute. Dogs are also welcome. your name on the chalkboard on the wall of your apartment is really heartwarming. Hello, we were so glad to be back! the rooms were clean, that fished super. which was not so great: the room was hot as a sauna and I couldn't find out how to turn off, no instructions. the breakfast is quite minimalist. we were aware. that it was in construction and being honest, it has not disturbed us so much, of course it does not look so beautiful...a pity that the large house / restaurant is not an available spa for use....not very convenient to have a place family.
We had a wonderful stay here with our 5 year old and 1.5 year old. The staff are extremely friendly and everything caters towards making the children happy. There are several play areas and the kids menu in the restaurant is very good and varied....The apartment was fantastic and although there was a wedding there the second night, we didn't hear a thing and all slept very well. We will definitely be staying here again!

the traditional atmosphere of this farm, which is converted as a restaurant, is beautiful. we chose this place to lunch, due to the relatiw wide range of gluten-free curses. the only negative point was that my man ordered a dinette while I ordered a gluten-free carving and. they were served with 45 minutes different. At least we asked them to warm up the dinette and they did.
very nice place to relax with very good service. close to Lake Constance, so very good possibility to sleep.
