I used to come to this place in my younger years, loved their Gyro’s their hot dogs. They use to have great food however, recently I passed by and got myself a Gyro. I know it’s been a while since I had one however, the meat texture was not the same not to talk about the price $10 for a Gyro. Wow. Back in the days they would give a smile while serving you the Gyro… nowadays, it seems like they’re just tired or that they been there way too long or that they just don’t give 2shits about their customers or the quality of their food. The gyro King. Has pretty good pizza. This pizza's usually served straight out of the oven fresh. The taste of the pizza is great however the thin crust and over greasiness of their slices leaves you feeling grateful for their cheap price. This place has been here for many years and has become a milestone for the Bronx, especially if you're coming off of the 4 train or 12 bus. The atmosphere however leaves much to be desired you will come across the occasional junkie and pan handler. I overheard people saying how good the lamb is there. No attitudes, the service is spot-on.
OVERPRICED. SINCE WHEN IS A GYRO (SMALL) $10.00 ? NO SMILE NO THANK YOU FROM THE WORKER. SAME WORKER BEEN THERE OVER 30 YEARS. GYRO WAS TASTIER 30 YEARS AGO. I SUGGEST EVERYONE EAT SOMEPLACE ELSE. SOMEPLACE THAT THANKS YOU WHEN YOU SPEND $35.00 FOR GYRO AND FRIES.
Small corner space but huge flavor!! Chicken and lamb made authentic and real meat no fillers. Had this gyro platter and was stuffed and happy!Kid-friendliness: They have options I feel kids would love especially the pizza!
