Took the family here to try a new place since we had a fundraising booklet we purchased from our kid 's school. The entrance to the place is a little awkward and is very easy to miss (if you do, you 'll have to do a U-Turn and try again). Entering, the restaurant feels a bit dark, but I think that 's the look they are going for. It has a homey feel and has a distinct Mexican feel in it. The menus were a bit dirty, and the waiter rushed us to order. I suspected he was almost done with his shift and wanted to get our order in before he left. I don?t like restaurants that like to trick their customers. I?m highly disappointed because I usually order from this restaurant and everything is usually fine. Today, they tried tricking me for my horchata! I usually order my horchata with no ice and have received it with the same cup an iced horchata comes with. First, it took them forever to give me my drink and they did with a straw already inserted with ice! That?s unsanitary; when I brought up the concern of no ice, I was then brought out horchata in a WAY smaller cup. Stick to your guidelines. If you want to reserve, charge by size. I have been to this restaurant countless of times and this blew me!
We love this place! If we need a moment to get out, this is our place to go. Here we take everyone who comes to the city to visit us. The staff is so wonderful that they remember us, they know we eat and we drink them EVERYTIME. Habs is only the place to be!
