I'm shocked there are bad reviews.. this place checks just about all the boxes.Trying to reduce carbs so I ordered COD coleslaw with side of calamari.Bright, and clean inside and they were relatively quick to make my order (during dinner rush! On way home I tried the calamari. OMG, these were fantastic.Large, tender chunks that are nice and crispy on the outside and very well seasoned, with a bit of heat and a decent dipping sauce.Same for the fish, HUGE piece that was lightly battered.Aside from a pretty steep price (1 star lost for that seemed to be worth it (30$
I enjoyed the best chowder at this restaurant, and the halibut was incredibly delicious. I appreciated their option to substitute veggies and rice for the usual fries and coleslaw, which was a refreshing change from typical fish and chips. The service was excellent as well. Although the rice was a little cold initially, they promptly replaced it with freshly cooked rice, which I really appreciated. The overall atmosphere was delightful. I would definitely return, as it’s the best place for halibut!
We each ordered hadock. I had fries and the other guest had rice.The server was very nice. She noticed I was unhappy and asked if I would like crispier fries?????. Had it happened a lot.Not only were the fries under cooked. So was both of our fish and tasted greasy. I was very disappointed. The quality certainly wasn't there. Chances of us going back...Not likely

Absolutely garbage for the cost, and I had 0 cheese on my poutine . Would also be helpful if the staff listened while people ordered as I asked for two 2 piece cod and got 2 pieces of fish. Its not worth it in the least and I 'd post a pic but it 's not letting me.
Absolutely wonderful in every aspect. The service was excellent as well. If you're in search of a fantastic fish and chips experience, this is the place to go!
The fish was deep-fried and overpriced, without any real flavor. I paid over $25 for a small portion of fries and halibut that tasted more like tilapia.
The fish was way over cooked and dry. I expected better since I'm a regular at their Waterloo location and it is excellent. Book a table now
