Been here a few times with family and friends. It is not just a meal. It is an experience. I love the atmosphere and decoration of the place. It reminds me of the northeastern Chinese countryside when I used to visit when I was little. The cuisine is a type of cuisine that you don't see often in the US. It's call Dongbei cuisine. It's known for its bold and coarse cooking style. Lots of stews and salty flavors. It's also known for its big portions. That's what it's like in the countryside in Northern China. Definitely come try it out if you are adventurous and want to try a different type of Chinese cuisine. It is a bit of expensive, but you won't regret it.
Decent experience here. The appetizers were great and refreshing. The staff didn't explain how the breads and carbs worked before we ordered so we weren't able to get any for our chicken pot (non-spicy). Parents were disappointed that they gave much fewer mushrooms than the last time they were here. Definitely helps if you speak Mandarin if you come, and even then we were a little lost.

Been here a thousand times! Really delicious and authentic Chinese food. Highly recommend Stew Goose with Green Beans it’s super flavorful and the portion is generous. Servers are also super friendly and considerate. Highly recommend!!!
The food itself is very good, prob the best northern Chinese style I've tried in socal. But the price is a bit higher for the quantity of the food. Good atmosphere in general

I like the atmosphere there. Very traditional northern China food. Most dish taste as it should be. Guobaorou is on the sweet side. Go surprise yourself.
