For those who may not be familiar with the dining experience at this restaurant, they simmer the ingredients at your table to ensure freshness. After placing your order, you're asked to wait around 15 minutes, as the potatoes take time to cook thoroughly. The menu features a fish pot with a lighter flavor profile and a goose dish that offers a richer taste. You can choose from spice levels including not spicy, mild, medium, or spicy. Additionally, you have the option to order extra ingredients to add to your pot, as well as a selection of other cooked Northern Chinese stir-fried dishes or cold appetizers. The food is quite authentic and flavorful. The waitstaff were very patient and helpful,...

Been here a few times with family and friends. It is not just a meal. It is an experience. I love the atmosphere and decoration of the place. It reminds me of the northeastern Chinese countryside when I used to visit when I was little. The cuisine is a type of cuisine that you don't see often in the US. It's call Dongbei cuisine. It's known for its bold and coarse cooking style. Lots of stews and salty flavors. It's also known for its big portions. That's what it's like in the countryside in Northern China. Definitely come try it out if you are adventurous and want to try a different type of Chinese cuisine. It is a bit of expensive, but you won't regret it.

Decent experience here. The appetizers were great and refreshing. The staff didn't explain how the breads and carbs worked before we ordered so we weren't able to get any for our chicken pot (non-spicy). Parents were disappointed that they gave much fewer mushrooms than the last time they were here. Definitely helps if you speak Mandarin if you come, and even then we were a little lost.

The Guobaorou at Sanlitun Restaurant is an absolute delight, skillfully blending crispy and tender textures with a delicious sweet and tangy glaze. The warm atmosphere and attentive service further elevate the dining experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Beijing's cuisine. Book a table now
