We were really looking forward to our meal following a day out watching the Grand National. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a nice young lady who showed us to our table with our drinks and food ordered promptly. The food and drinks also arrived promptly and the food looked really nice. That’s where the nice bits ended as the meal I ordered a full rack of ribs was tasty but very dry as if they have been warming for some time. The other meals a special Jamaican Jerk burger was also extremely dry, again as if it was pre cooked and left warming. Despite being booked at the last-minute, I managed to sneak a table at Harper's in Thornton. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Started out at the bar with plenty of drinks choice on offer with some particularly good gin and bourbon. Food was superb and clearly freshly made with the steak and burgers being quite sublime and definitely a cut above the norm. Service was absolutely on point with a friendly and efficient team that made us feel welcome. Cherry on the cake was that the whole evening at Harper's was very good value for money. Recommend it to anyone. We'll definitely be going back again...
I will never return to this restaurant. The hostess appeared disheveled, the menu was unappealing and missing items, the tables were dirty and greasy. The food was not good - the hot dog was tasteless, the burger was okay but the chicken was dry and flavorless, and the fries were burnt. The onion rings were greasy, the coleslaw was watery and unappetizing. A man in oily overalls was wandering around and going into the kitchen, creating a poor atmosphere.
will not go again. the hostess looked like she had just finished toilets, small inconspicuous menu with a few dingen also lacked so smaller dirty fat table, don't eat well, hot dog is just a tasteless sausage abhorr. burger not too bad, huh dry tasteless, pommes burned dry chaos. twill rings drop in fat, watery not tasty shiny, some kerle strips around and go in kitchen in oily searches overalls, bad atmosphere, etc.

We visited for an early evening adult family meal. The food was tasty and nicely presented, with a good choice of grill standards. Choices of sides was welcome and all the meals were excellent. Thus was our second visit and we will certainly return. Service was excellent too
Much more food than we could eat at very reasonable prices. American orientated menu with friendly relaxed service. Choice of wines and or beer appropriate to the menu . Would recommend Harper's to anyone who likes a good steak or burger.
We had our first experience at this restaurant after it was recommended by a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was excellent, and we were impressed by the fantastic selection of gins. We will definitely be returning soon.
Exceptional food and service, best steak had in a long time, lovely atmosphere and great staff, will be returning and highly recommend.
