Über eine lange Forststraße führt der Weg zum Schutzhaus am Harzberg mit schöner Rundumsicht. Das Schutzhaus ist urig eingerichtet mit dunkler Holzdecke und modernen Dekoelementen. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte ist groß, wenn auch für mich verwunderlich, warum man hier im Schutzhaus die originale VW Currywurst bekommt. Die Speisen selbst sind nicht wirklich teuer, genau so wie ich es mir in einem Schutzhaus vorstelle. Die Getränkeauswahl ist ebenfalls groß und es werden verschiedene selbstgemachte Fruchtsäfte und Biere angeboten. Neugierig die Currywurst und einen Blattsalat mit Hühnerbrust bestellt. Geschmacklich war beides wirklich top und frisch zubereitet, man schmeckte beim Salat die Kräu...
Warum dieser Titel? Der heutige Besuch war wieder sehr lehrreich. Das wirklich freundliche Personal wurde durch wahrscheinlich verschiedene Umstände ins Leere geschickt. Systemabstürze der Bestellsoftware hinterlassen einen, sagen wir nicht optimalen Eindruck. Zum Glück wurde ich von diesen Mängeln verschont. Manch bestellte Getränke wurden nach 20 Minuten noch immer nicht gebracht. Bestellungen dauerten sehr lange und mache bestellten Speisen wurden hin und her getragen bis diese an der hoffentlich richten Stelle waren. Das das Servicepersonal trotzdem freundlich blieb -> alle Achtung, dafür müsste ich fünf Punkte vergeben, aber die Wartezeit ergibt eigentlich nur einen Punkt. So werde ich...
The restaurant is actually more a nice and well maintained hut.We sat outside in the sun, watching our daughter enjoying the playground next to it - they also have 5 kangoroos and a great view. The service is friendly, bring some time while they are quite quickly (for the amount of guests outside especially). I had a super fresh salad with soft chicken, and some veggies which proved the quality of the kitchen - probably the best chicken salad I had for the last 5 years.We truly relaxed and walked down the little hike back to Bad Vöslau (much nicer than to go there by car!).

The refuge is even a perfect destination for a short hike from Bad vöslau. Feel free to take your dog with you. There is always enough water for your four-legged friends at the shelter. If the weather is right, the view is very nice. Don't forget to visit the 2 legged hoppers. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
