Somewhat disapponted about this eatery. Had heard some of the hype before we booked 4 weeks in advance for 4 persons. Service was very attentive and friendly but the noice was almost at excrutiating level. Tables quite close together and lots of diners. Our starters were Ok the pork belly bits were commented on but the smoked mackeral hot potato salad seemed out of place not sure why . Ordered 4 steaks rib eye, sirloins and rump between us. All seemed cooked as requested tho the rump was a little less succulent than hoped for albeit still pink inside. We had a great time and the staff, restaurant and food was great and as you would expect. Do I think it was worth £193 for 2 people? Definitely not and wouldn 't go back. There 's several local restaurants to us where the steaks were at least as good as here and would cost us around £90 £110 for a similar meal. Oh and they automatically added a 12.5% service charge (for 2 people! which I absolutely hate. I always ask the waiting staff if they get all of this on top of their wage. The answer is always a resounding no . After this I ask if I have the service charge removed and leave the same tip, would they get to keep it all? Again the answer is nearly always no usually it 's 50% or even less...

For me on my first ever visit, the marketing is better than the actual product. We have wanted to visit this place for quite a while now because of the reputation. The staff are excellent, the cocktails are pricey but out of this world delicious. The food disappointed though and I thought the service and cocktails would not be prioritised over the food. The lady on the next table sent her mains back but was fussed over and got a refund. Great staff but I was disappointed with the food. I booked this restaurant after looking at trip advisor for steak restaurants in Manchester and I certainly wasn’t disappointed, the staff are so helpful and friendly, probably some of the nicest restaurant staff I have come across, they certainly make the experience more enjoyable. This was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and he wasn’t disappointed. For a Tuesday night the place was packed, if your looking for somewhere quiet this isn’t the place for you, but if your looking for somewhere with a great atmosphere then don’t hesitate on booking. We visited on a whim really. We went into Manchester just to grab some food and as we had wanted to try Hawksmoor previously, we thought we'd give it a try without a booking. We walked in and we were greeted by the colleague on the reception who took a look, and was able to find us a table. I will say, it does seem that the prices are a little expensive, and I was a bit sceptical about the prices but it was definitely well worth it. The restaurant is an experience, and the food was incredible. The colleagues were super helpful, funny and were very genuine.
Being a butcher the last think I would ever choose from a menu would be a steak ! But on the recommendation of a friend we took the plunge . I can’t recommend this place enough. The steak was cooked to perfection pink no blood the flavour was amazing . But more amazing was the Potted Beef starter ! It’s on another level , you have to try as it’s amazing Dessert was fresh and delicious. Service was impeccable! The server new his stuff and was well mannered, and looked after us really well
The service was fantastic. My ribeye was very thin and not juicy at all like a ribeye was supposed to be like. Considering its a steak house mainly, the steaks were below par for the price you pay. Everything else was lovely but my main thing here is supposed to be the food. I never wanted to complain as it was my wifes birthday party for the 3 of us. Never mind!!!

Great service. Smiley faces from the staff. Tasty steak. Went with two mates and they left the ordering on the mains to me. When it arrived I looked like I had under ordered but it was spot on. One fillet and one rib eye cut in to slices and it did the job. Always pricey but this is okay when you feel like it is value for money.
Amazing food staff lovely efficient and welcoming will definitely be back our steaks were cooked as requested and so tender
