To the Hawwerkasten is the place where visitors from abroad who are only short in Hesse can be safely invited. Sehr gutes bürgerliches Essen in rustikal-gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Wir hatten Haxe mit Bratkartoffeln die waren spitze und Rippchen mit Kraut und waren begeistert. Leider hatte die Haxe keine krosse Kruste, aber sie war ansonsten sehr gut. Das gereichte Brot war frisch und knusprig. Die Beduenung war zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Schade, dass wir nur auf der Durchreise waren, sonst wären wir sehr oft hier.

If you are traveling with several people you should book. It's not important. Local is well established by citizens. The menu is not too extensive but very tasty and very good from the price/performance. Operation was very nice and has also translated the regional specialties to us.
