I feel like we visited on an off day because the food was not what we had anticipated. The woman who served us didn’t seem very cheerful; she was on the phone and appeared to be in a bit of a hurry. Our order ended up being incorrect, and the food just didn't live up to the praise we had heard. The rice was even a bit burnt. Overall, it was a disappointing first experience, and I'm uncertain if I would return.
This strip mall restaurant is fantastic. The soul food, prepared by a wonderful woman, is delicious. We enjoyed collard greens, ham and beans, cabbage, fried chicken, and fries. For just $23, the portion sizes were generous for both of us.
We are in town for our Anniversary and wanted A home cooked meal. When I tell you Heavenly spoon didn’t disappoint at All. Everything was GREAT. Definitely recommend this place for Flavorful home cooked meals

the smothered pork chop was absolutely amazing....and the sides of yellow rice n mac n cheese was smoking...the portions you get is wow
Delicious seafood platter. Evelyn knows her way around seasoning ? Collards were great too!
