We found Heids by looking on TripAdvisor So it does work if you are a business. We entered and quickly realised it was almost full! However we were found a table quickly. The menu was well presented, and we quickly chose the US Fillet. Worth...every cent. All Euros. Krystin looked after us very well and even though we asked for a medium and medium well with all the trimmings, peppercorn sauce and steak fries and veg, they arrived promptly. First cut.... like cutting butter with a warm knife. Every cut... just smooth... every bite... appealed to all tastebuds... not an oz of fat. Just the best steak we have ever eaten. Following the positive reviews and its proximity to our hotel, we had dinner at Heid's on a warm September evening. The restaurant is very big and spacious, so we didn't have issues finding a table. Staff were all wearing face coverings and tables were adequately...separated. We had two Spritz, with a large salad and a steak with fries, all very good in taste and consistency. Staff were polite and smiling (they were wearing transparent face shields, so we could tell). Prices are affordable. A very good choice if you are nearby.
The reviews really set this place up. It wasn't the best steak I've ever had for sure but it was enjoyable enough with delicious gravy and fries to go with it. Be sure to reserve a table as it's very busy! I read that you...often need week in advance to secure a spot but I got a table for on the same day...perhaps it's a bit less occupied because of COVID although it was still pretty full! No one picked up the phone or replied to my email so I ended up going in person to make a booking for later the same evening.
Made an online reservation worked like a charm (reservation at for same day). My Wife and I went there and it was absolutely gorgeous. Drinks were amazing, service quick and kind. Pieces according to the quality of the food. Nice music with...a DJ that walks around apparently checking what sort of guests are in and then playing the according music. If you go there you won’t be disappointed. A special evening with awesome food! Love this place.

Perfect, service, perfect location, perfect food. Why go and visit the castle when there´s Heid´s? We´ve been there so often and it´s always been a pleasure. The selfmade free( bread with fantastic olive oil is always a perfect start into a wonderful evening. We´ll sure...come back soon.
We loved our dinner at the Heid‘s! The reservation via website was super easy and worked well. Super delicious food and awesome meat quality. We‘re definitely coming back for another nice evening PS: The pictures show the Tapas variation and the with grilled...vegetables.
We visited Heid's for a birthday dinner. Topic was steak. Perfectly prepared steaks, tasty add-ons creamy veggies, grilled veggies and steakhouse or sweet potato fries, everything to the point. Not cheap but worth every cent. Any time again.
Awesome restaurant where they have a good selection of steaks and pizzas. It’s probably the only place in Heidelberg where I found good pizzas. You need to book a week in advance.

Great place to eat in Heidelberg. The US steak was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Great and friendly staff. Will go there again and try the surf and turf that looked amazing.
