I had heard a lot about this restaurant and everyone said how great it was but the service really let everything else down. It was difficult to place an order, catch a staff member to order more drinks or get water and in the end, we went elsewhere afterward for a drink. Meals were dropped at the table with little explanation (unless we asked) and we had no idea when the meal had finished as the communication was terrible.
I have been to Hello Auntie many times over the last couple of years. This time I was very disappointed!hThe food was not nearly as good as normal, even my favourite dish, the Banh xeo was not up to it's usual standard. The staff were obviously new and in training, again not the usual high standard of personality and service.
We loved the atmosphere and service. The waitresses did a great job explaining everything, including gluten free options. The food was mostly delicious. Just the prawns were quite dry- they didn’t seem fresh. Would definitely come back though!
Excellent creative Vietnamese modern fusion. A bit noisy and the tables are small and cramped in but the food is so good that customers return again and again. Book a table now
