We were traveling and opted for a buffet lunch at this restaurant. It turned out to be one of the priciest Indian buffets we've encountered on the island. The selection was quite limited, with no soups offered, and the desserts were barely worth mentioning. There were very few food options available, and the trays were rarely refilled. The chicken dishes had an unusual taste and a tough texture, leading us to question how fresh they were. Additionally, the staff did not check in with us to inquire about our satisfaction or gather feedback on the buffet.
We visited Heritage Indian Cuisine for the first time in Nanaimo, and it was a delightful experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared. I highly recommend the veggie dish platter, which includes two curries, rice, naan, salad, and a soft drink. The staff was quick and responsive, particularly Akshita, who provided excellent communication and fast service. Overall, it was well worth the money!
I ordered the Prawn Goan and Kadai Chicken, both at medium spice level. Unfortunately, the Prawn Goan was quite bland and lacked flavor. On the other hand, the Kadai Chicken had a nice spice level, but the chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. The portions were generous, which was great (I recommend ordering one rice per person), and the garlic naan was enjoyable as well.
Great food!!! You need to be very hungry before you go as the portions are very large.Amazing Naan bread and the chicken Tika is very very good. Very friendly staff great service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was fantastic! We each ordered the combo plate, which came with a generous portion of food and the Naan bread was excellent. We’ll definitely be returning!
Incredible food! For those with dietary restrictions, there are plenty of gluten-free options available for individuals with Celiac disease.
