The restaurant has a potential to be really a good one, however right now is an average one. The only advantage is the quality meat served inside. First of all, nobody asks you how your burger shall be cooked (all are the same), secondly waiting...time indicates that you will get something special... in the end burgers do not differ a lot. Thirdly, mine (Herman the German) arrived almost RAW (I wish I could get it as medium-well) and in addition it was barely warm... Price range is moderate (see my photo). You can make a phone reservation. There is a plenty space in two rooms that restaurant can held a large company meeting. I would rather eat somewhere else next time.
If you want a nice big filling burger with chips ,washed down by quality beers look no further than here. Easy to find ,get UBAHN to UBAHN LIPPESTRASSE and its found on KAISERSTRASSE. We went on Friday afternoon and needed good pack to soak up...beer as we were doing a beer crawl of Dortmund pubs. We ordered burgers and chips ,meals were superb and huge,(just what we needed), washed down with HOVELS BIER,which is so tasty . Prices were fantastic and the staff really nice. Closed Monday. Tuesday to pm till till midnight. till If your in Dortmund ,this place is well worth a visit.
Hey, Hexenkessel is easy to find, on foot from the city centre or by the underground. Their have normal or special fries. The prices are normal. The burgers are tasty and you can see your patties getting roasted, through a window. The staff are friendly...and offer a good service. Location is clean and even place for families with kids. I recommend Herman the German. Hexenkessel offers different burger from tome to time or you can create you own burger. KR
The food was amazing! BBQ burger was very very tasteful! Wife had chicken burger which was very good too! The staff is very friendly and good with English communication. The service was not that fast but when I saw that inside (we were outside) was...full I forgave them! (We waited ca but a wait worth of it We are coming from Slovenia so the price for us was a bit high but I think for German people that price is normal.

citizen was okay, service it wasn't. from ordering to paying had all its lengths and became a problem.Gläser were forgotten, a part of the ordered was not brought.In case of questioning, one was still obsolete or dimly instructed.The evening therefore remains in a very bad memory.
my recommendation: Witchen Kessel-Burger! I think it's unbeatable! in theremund I haven't eaten a better burger so far! I also find the possibility to choose between different sizes. Only the supplements could be reworked.
Burgers where great! Take a mix so you can have a taste of everything. Service was also great the only thing I was missing is a little bit of atmosphere. We were sitting in the back, maybe in the front it´s better.
Awesome burgers!! I love the idea of different burgers or customizing your own! Very good ideas like the Burger with a fried egg and a veggie burger! Will definitely visit again.

it is a nice restaurant, you can also get other dishes. It is a nice place in the heart of the town.
