Horrible customer service. Order 2 drinks and when ordering we asked if the rainbow drink was sweet or not. Was told yes it's sweet so we asked for 1/4 sugar to not have it so sweet. Got our drink and took a sip and found it super sweet and asked to change it or have it remade without sugar due to how bad it was. Was told we would need to pay for another drink because if we make another without charging you it will IMPACT our merit and because we drank from it. So how else would we know its good or bad if we cant drink from it. You are more concerned about yourself instead of your customers. I have been here a million times and never been treated this way. I ordered an iced vanilla latte. They seemed very confused, and eventually, someone came up and said their espresso machine was down, so they offered me an iced coffee with creamer and vanilla instead. I said ok, but they then charged for the creamer and the flavoring, which then ended up costing more than what an iced vanilla latte would cost by over $1. The quality of the coffee was watered down and not very good. I would not consider this a coffee shop, nor is this their specialty. I'm sure they do great at other things, but not as a coffee shop. I would not recommend to someone looking for a coffee shop.
Hey Bear has by far the best tea I’ve ever had, and with their fair pricing, I’d put it miles above Starbucks any day. The entire building was very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything had a very welcoming atmosphere. Service was extremely fast despite a bit of a late afternoon crowd, and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend for anyone living in or passing through the Knoxville area.
My kids love the drinks and the play areas in back but the inside of the cafe smells so strongly of cleaner that I can barely be inside. I can’t imagine sitting there for any longer than I’d have to, letting my kids play inside, or even consuming food or a drink in there. It almost smells toxic. So many people love it but I can’t risk a migraine by being inside. Book a table now
The Coffee Boba was a delightful surprise! Since I'm more of a coffee lover than a tea drinker, I opted for the brown sugar milk coffee with boba, milk foam, and a touch of extra sweetness. The flavors were incredible, though I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of boba—perhaps it's a texture thing for me. However, the coffee itself was exceptional!
Best place in town for milk-tea. If you enjoy boba, they have that too. Kids love this place because there is huge outdoor space in the back. Different nights, host different food trucks. Over all, one of our favorite places for casual hang out/food.
I host karaoke at HEY BEAR CAFE every Wednesday, and the things I love most here, besides all the employees, the outside space, the food trucks, the pop-up vendors, the variety of boba teas, is everything. I love everything about it.
