This review is for the Mound location.We love hibachi, but sadly any time we've eaten in the restaurant we've felt disappointed. The service is inattentive, dismissive and to be honest it often feels almost rude. This is the only spot for hibachi in town so we've tried to give it a few chances but in the future we'll either just make the drive elsewhere or do takeout. Lastly, we've come in a few times 30-45 minutes prior to their quoted closing time (which is both listed online and printed on their door) and we've been turned away saying they shut things down for the night. For the price they charge here, it's sadly a disappointment. If you're going to try it, I'd stick to take out.
Restaurant was clean and the staff was nice enough. But the food… decided to come here since it was a close walk from the hotel and welp, for $70 for lunch, we should have gone elsewhere. We ordered chicken/steak hibachi. The vegetables were under cooked. The rice and the meat was dry. Had to use a ton of soy sauce and their overly mayonnaised yum yum sauce in order to eat it. Oh. And. Literally everything was disposable. The bowl, the fork, the cup. We said it was dine in. Didn’t make sense. Won’t be back. Save your money. Walk another block and get something else.
This place is awesome. The service is very friendly and super accommodating. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. Now....the best part...the food. I ordered a hibachi meal with steak and added a side of shrimp. The food was so fresh and delicious. I could 've eaten a whole extra plate. I ordered a surf side sushi roll. Again...fresh and delicious. This place is worth the drive. They even have a food truck in the Twin Cities metro. My wife said it 's equally as good. My family loved their meals as well. Check this local restaurant. You won 't regret eating here.
I am reviewing only the food from this restaurant as I ordered it through UberEats. It's not often that I pause my meal to write a positive review, but the food was just that good! The portions were generous, the plating was appealing, and they even wrapped my utensils neatly. The salad with ginger dressing tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying out this place for yourself, as I am already craving more of their food.

The restaurant lacks consistency as everything always seems to be different. This time, I ordered Onion fried rice but had actually wanted chicken fried rice. There were so many onions that I couldn't even taste the rice. It was a disappointing experience and I feel like I could have saved my money by dining elsewhere. If you are looking for good hibachi, I would recommend avoiding this place.
I had a great time at this restaurant. The tofu combo was delicious, full of flavor, and I liked that the portion size was just right. The only thing missing was wifi access for guests - if they added that, it would be perfect. Overall, I would give the food a perfect score of 5/5.
I ordered the shrimp hibachi with no onions. Our order was cooked with onions and chicken. Wasn’t expecting any chicken. Anyways I’ve had diarrhea for hours now. I feel terrible. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Delicious, reminds me of Benihana!! Fresh, flavorful quality ingredients! Shrimp sauce is closest I have had to copy cat Benihana's! Ordered shrimp with chicken fried rice, 3 sauces and gyoza!

Me and my friends went to Hibachi Daruma for dinner and many of us got sick not just from the sushi, but from the hibachi menu as well.
Amazing food and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.
