From start to finish we had a wonderful experience. Lulu was nothing short of a wonderful host for us. We sat out back in the shade and enjoyed being surrounded by the trees. She had chalk for my toddler to color with and we even went down the deckstairs into the woods and down by a creek! We started with the cheese fries they had a delicious seasoning on them and dippedthem in Lulu?s homemade ranch. My husband had a chicken fried steak and loved it and the mashed potatoes. On our way back to Dallas after a weekend hiking at Turner Falls, we discovered Hide Away Grill By The Lake and are so glad we stopped for lunch! Miss Lulu was an incredible server and a genuinely lovely person, even with ranch dressing on her clothes and without her glasses. She makes a fantastic Arnold Palmer, and both the burger and the chicken-fried steak from their menu were outstanding! If you’re ever in the area, be sure to visit. Don’t forget to grab a bag of their delicious Ranger cookies before you go! Thank you, Miss Lulu; your restaurant was the highlight of our entire trip!
My family gathered for our annual luncheon and business meeting, and Hide Away Grill By The Lake surpassed all our expectations. The staff was exceptionally attentive, and the food was truly delicious. While I didn’t speak with her personally, Miss Lulu was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I enjoyed the catfish basket, which was excellent, accompanied by the best hush puppies. We also shared the nacho appetizer, which exceeded my expectations. I would give this experience a perfect 10/10 and would definitely come back!
Hide Away Grill By The Lake is a perfect spot to unwind after visiting Lake Murray. The meals were tasty and affordable, with everything prepared fresh. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout. Although the decor was a bit unconventional, the overall experience was very enjoyable.

Absolutely awesome staff and amazing food! Lulu and Andrea were so pleasant and a great staff but I have to say that their HOMEMADE white chocolate cheese cake is off the hook good!!!!! By far the best cheese cake I?ve ever had?..for real stupid goodand a must try
We attempted to visit this restaurant at 2 PM on Saturday, but the sign on the door indicated an eviction order due to failure to pay rent. It seems unlikely that they will be opening again anytime soon.
It 's a Got to go there place. We enjoyed a great meal on the patio of great food. Left with a bag of Ranger cookies that I am now addicted to.
It's a lovely place. The outdoors patio is so beautiful. The catfish basket is the best I've ever had. I wish I can give more than 5 stars.

Just ordered two burgers and fries. Food was great. Burgers were moist and tasty. Fries are fresh cut. So glad we ordered lunch here.
