We made reservations for 6 of us on Sunday morning. The place was packed, but we got seated right away. Our server was friendly and filled our coffee often. We got 6 different breakfast items and all were delicious! My Dad got the lemon ricotta pancakes and he’s already requested we come back here again during parent’s weekend next year! Today was a tough day for my partner and me as we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog. We decided to stop by a restaurant for a meal before heading home. Our waitress was very kind and understanding when we shared the news with her. The food we ordered was delicious, and to our surprise, part of our meal was complimentary and we were given a free dessert to help comfort us in our time of loss. The manager also offered his condolences and made us feel heard and reassured. We are grateful to everyone at Highland Grill for making our difficult day a little bit easier. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Imagine a grilled cheese sandwich with a twist, the addition of chutney was a delightful surprise. The gooey cheese paired perfectly with the sweet chutney, creating a wonderful combination. The server suggested getting the fries extra crispy, and it was a fantastic recommendation - even though I usually don't enjoy fries, these were exceptional! Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, the server treated us as if we were the only table, and her smile was a welcomed sight in a world where it's rare to see people truly enjoying their work.
Typically a 5-star experience, but today was disappointing in terms of food and service. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup, but the cheese on the sandwich wasn't even melted and there was an issue with the soup (wrong amount and long wait time to resolve). However, once the soup finally arrived 20 minutes later, it was great. The wait staff also seemed to forget about us when it came time to pay. Hoping for a better experience next time!

Highland grill is diner on ford parkway that serves great hash browns, pancakes and toast. Service is always quick and friendly! This is definitely a place I would go on a date to, being family, or just chill on my own. Parking can be tough especially during morning-mid morning on the weekends but you can find parking reasonably distanced in the side streets. If you live in highland and are wondering what to eat, you can never go wrong with great diner food!
Always a must when visiting st Thomas! Came on a wed dinner was so good came back Sunday breakfast and loved service, food, location and quality. Hard to find great service and food today but go here! Fabulous food and excellent service! The Thai Lemongrass Chicken was full of flavor, the homemade pasta in the Pesto Pasta was perfectly al dente and the Tomato Basil Soup was full of fresh goodness!
